To us who were at the poker table nine years ago: not yet cleared out, we are still the winners.

In fact, the most absurd thing about this line of work is: you think you are investing, but in the end, it feels more like enduring a long suffering.

Nine years ago, I encountered Bitcoin for the first time. Back then, there wasn't much money in my account, but my courage was frighteningly high. I always felt that as long as I seized a wave of market trends, the regrets in life, even the grievances at work or the deficits on the bills, could be filled in by this rise.

Later I learned, the market never fulfills anyone's dreams. It will repeatedly test your greed, fear, and that meager bit of patience.

Over the years, I have seen too many stories. In a bull market, everyone is buoyant, and my social circle is filled with profit curves as if everyone is a stock god; when a bear market arrives, the once-bustling groups go silent instantly, and many people quietly uninstall the software and never return.

I have thought about leaving as well.

Especially during those days of continuous decline, when the account shrinks a little every day, and the news is all negative. That feeling of oppression is like being locked in a room with no exit. During those times, I would always tell myself: just wait and see, maybe tomorrow will be better.

As a result, this waiting turned into a full nine years.

Now looking back, the most magical part of this circle is not who made how much, but it can always leave something behind after one falls time and again.

Some have learned to control their emotions; some finally understood the so-called “risk”; more have come to realize that the real challenge isn't where to buy, but being able to stay clear-headed after experiencing several rounds of bull and bear markets.

As for wealth, some have gained it, while others are still waiting.

But time won't lie.

Last night, while scrolling through news, I stumbled upon the announcement of Binance's ninth anniversary. My first reaction wasn't about the event or the rewards, but a sudden realization—turns out it has been with this industry for nine years.

Nine years, not too long, yet not too short.

Enough for a newcomer to become an old player, and enough for many once-thrilling stories to now remain only as screenshots in the corners of albums.

I opened their anniversary page this year. Clicking through, it wasn't a task at all, but clearly a journey through my past.

Every landmark corresponds to a slice of this ecosystem. Some market conditions I experienced firsthand, staying awake all night over a price point; some events that were just news back then, looking back now, have surprisingly become pieces of a complete memory puzzle.

The process of illuminating these moments feels like flipping through those old screenshots that I never deleted and the chat histories that have already sunk to the bottom in group messages. What seemed like a catastrophic drop back then now appears just as a lingering shadow.

Connecting these moments, I finally realized: those dark moments I thought were the end eventually became the prologue to the story.

While completing the landmark tasks, it wasn't really for the rewards. I just felt that having walked together for nine years, there should be some sense of ritual, a proof of my “visit” in this world.

If you have also experienced the ups and downs, you might understand this feeling.

If you have just entered this market, I hope that many years from now, when you look back at today, you will find that what truly deserves to be remembered is never just the rise and fall.

But rather, the self who has fallen, doubted, and sat back down in front of the screen time and again.

Nine years have passed, and the market keeps changing.

Some have switched lanes, while others have changed identities.

But regardless of whether you made a fortune during these past nine years or are still on the path to breaking even, as long as you haven't left, as long as you are still paying attention to the fluctuations in this digital world, even if you just occasionally check the market, you have actually already won.

Because in this world’s most brutal arena, “being in it” is already a top strategy.

After all, every cycle we’ve endured over these nine years has turned into a badge of honor that belongs to us.
