The China Academy of Information and Communications Technology stated that the daily token call volume in China has increased from approximately 100 billion at the beginning of 2024 to 140 trillion by the end of March 2026, a growth of over 1000 times. Wei Liang, Vice President of the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, stated that tokens are giving rise to a new token economy. The multi round model invocation driven by proxy level applications is increasing the demand for AI computing and driving the development of token metering, scheduling, pricing, and trading models.
