Coinbase opens new office in Singapore, plans to increase staff to 200 by the end of 2026

--

According to The Straits Times, Coinbase has opened a new office at One Raffles Wharf in Singapore, replacing the WeWork office located in Collyer Quay. Coinbase plans to expand its workforce in Singapore from around 150 to around 200 by the end of 2026. Hassan Ahmed, National Director of Coinbase Singapore, stated that the opening of a new office reflects the company's long-term view of Singapore as a global center for finance and digital assets. Hassan Ahmed stated that Singapore's expansion plan is independent of Coinbase's global layoffs announced in May of this year.
