Meta promises to spend nearly $700 billion in the future, involving AI data centers and cloud computing

According to a report by Caixin, Meta disclosed in regulatory documents that the company has committed nearly $700 billion in future expenditures through long-term and short-term agreements, involving artificial intelligence data centers and cloud computing. Meta has an irrevocable contract commitment of $349.3 billion, mainly involving third-party cloud service agreements, servers, and network infrastructure. Meta has an additional $347 billion in lease commitments that have not yet begun, of which $68 billion was added in July, and payments will begin in 2027 and 2028. These costs cover data centers, hosting facilities, and some network infrastructure.
